Parents throughout the ages have uttered the same cliches to their children. You know the ones: "These are the best years of your life", "You'd better enjoy life while you're young", or "One of these days you'll miss mom and dad taking care of you." We've all heard it, probably said it, yet no one believes or understands it until they live through it, including making their own mistakes.
"If I only knew then what I know now." Simple statement, translation: The perfect combination in life should be the knowledge and wisdom that comes with age in the brain and body of someone in their twenties.
